"Worked fine on Windows 98, Second Edition. It was decompressed and copied to a floppy disc. This particular computer kept locking up when an attempt was made to install the driver from the floppy, BUT it worked fine when the driver was copied to the hard drive and installed from that location. "Thank you! I have a ACER open desktop, Pentium 200, about 1998 model. I just formatted the HD and couldn't find my sound card driver anywhere! All I could find on the card was AD 1816a. I was told about the driverguide site and was able to find your driver. Took a while to figure out how to use the driver download. (downloaded to disk on 'A' drive, and unzipped it on the disk. Then had the 'reinstall driver' command look on 'A' drive.) Works perfectly! thanks again. HJ"
