"Tried this on an HP Pavilion 8668C with the combo modem-sound device (Conexant Riptide Racco 10). The soft modem port doesn't install, and the master Riptide audio driver doesn't work. (HP doesn't have drivers for this device on their Web site.)

"The driver worked great for the SOUND Card once installed, but the PC isn't used on the Internet, so the Modem has not been tested. There was a Quirk during the install, it searched for some accessory file that wasn't found, but still finished the install."

"I have tried 4 drivers so far. Neither of them worked. However; I believe the fault is in the way I am downloading them, not the driver. Just a few days ago I became a member of DriverGuide. I have full confidence I will solve my driver problem as a result."

"This is an upgrade driver so it's missing a .cat file. But it seems to work just fine if you skip this missing file. I only could get this driver installed using the windows intaller the .exe file worked but couldn't find a file. I was able to skip this file using the windows manual driver update button in hardware manager under system."
