users need to be aware that the umax scsi card that comes with these scanners needs its own driver as windows does not support it"
"On W2k if you are using a Domex 3191 SCSI adaptor, Vista Scan 3.55 causes a BSOD. When that occurs, remove the SCSI adaptor and reboot. Overwrite DMX3191.SYS in the \windows\system32 folder with the updated file downloaded from http://www.domex.com.tw/driver/d_3191d.htm - (w2k.zip).
Insert the SCSI adaptor and only after the computer is on again attach the UMAX Astra 2400s.
Search for new hardware and choose UMAX Astra 2400s.
"I was looking for a driver for Windows XP Professional. The table states that this driver covers XP, but the info with the driver itself states Windows 2000. Is there an XP Professional driver for the Astra 2400S?"
"A bit messy. The .exe file unpacks to any folder you choose, then you select/open the language version folder and double click the installer. It does a DOS install, But it works.
I'm going to try the ISO file listed a litle farther down on this site, as well. It would be nice to have a CD."
