"I installed the driver but it made no difference. I have a HP dx2200MT desktop. I recently repaired my XP installation but the audio driver just wouldn't work. There is still an exclamation mark on the device showing in device manager."

"Didn't work with my mainboard (K7VTA3 v.5). It hung up on one of the files, after eventually I managed to do it, there was no sound. When removing it hung my system up on the same file (sorry, I don't remember the name) and I had to remove it manually and then deinstallation worked. Maybe it works fine with newer AC'97 boards."
