Driver in NT are searched by *.inf not *.ini but the name change didn't help anyway because it was not a valid inf-file. There were no instructions how and where to copy all the *essential* files in the package.

I followed the instrucions 100% not even skipping optional restarts. No imaging software found the scanner.

If you are concerned about the size of the drivers - "boeder_modell_65343_artiscan_9600-300c_treiber_win_nt.exe" is the filename you are looking for. Its 10 times smaller at 1.24MB so even with a modem you can download it within 3 minutes. The installation is with a setup.exe and requiring only one restart - no device manager access needed to dumb-users."
