"I will download this driver and Test. The Standard operation of the S3/868 under win95 was worse than my Tjeng Labs ET-4000. Resolutions limited to 800x600. Maybe this file will prove me wrong."

"My PC, AMD K6/400, S3 Vision 968 PCI, couldn't kill it with a hammer. One day while surfing, monitor makes this sound between a fssst and a mmmmmmm, and turns ghost white with diagonal streamers. So I do the usual thing, thinking I may have a dust problem, vacuum the m/b, cards, power supply. I tried that, and every BIOS option on my machine, underclocked it, put the video card in every PCI slot, the pig would work at 16 color 640x480, but kick her into 16bit 1048 and it would usually lock within minutes. Another oddity I would get different results after I unpluged the PC from the wall vs. power off/reset. If you are in this situation, do what I did I trashed the S3 (the drivers didn't help me). Ain't it sad? I bet the Egyptians are turning over in their pyramids! How old is this card? 4 years? And no moving parts? I put in a GeForce and all was well."
