I've tried multiple CDs, changing the device name to mscd001, the drivers above, the original drivers that came with the CDROM, setting it up as the Master drive in its own IDE controller.... Nothing! Starting to run low on ideas here. Personally, I just think this CDROM is very unstable in DOS and without a lot of handholding (like Win9x), it's useless."

"well I guess I have a more serious problem with my Atapi Goldstar CD Rom because it is still not working. I get an error message saying my Q drive is not accesible and yet my computer tells me that the device is working properly. Any clues anyone.....PLEASE..I NEED to use my CD Rom drive....thankyou"

"The driver works fine! a few issues to be aware of though is that the default install uses mscd000 as the device name, if you try to install win95 or win98 from dos, rename the driver in config.sys on your c drive to mscd001 then no probs!"
