IT WORKED! i am on win2k pro typing this at this moment. originally, i would have to be in windows 98se. thanks ricardo. please email me to tell me where i should start in writing stuff like this to help people. i am surprised nokia doesn't already have this on their site. you are da bomb! i don't care that i'm paying 15 cents per minute. because of you, i can totally eliminate win98 from my system allowing win2k's NTFS be my security. anyone else can email me if they have any questions. note it named my 8290 "unknown modem".
