"This is as great driver - a derivation of Aztech Labs AZT2316R. This
driver was downloaded easily and successfully; installation was
problematic (for this novice anyway) in that it would be helfull to
mention in the "Readme" that the file should first be zipped (Win
Zip installation was required in my case); there was confusion in
the installation in that it mentions a selection (in the Add Hard-
ware process)of a Multimedia device. This apparently is not an op-
tion on all systems (Windows 98SE in my case)because the option I
used successfully was "Other Devices". This option allows a select-
ion of the Aztec Labs sound device - a user does not know this, how-
ever, without going in and reading the info files contained in the
PB144sound list of files, i.e., once downloaded to a location, a
user needs to click on file name and all "sub" files are shown. Once
this hurdle is made, installation is a piece of cake. The sub-
mitting member, Mr. David Ramos deserves real credit for finding
and making available to all the really wonderful but elusive driver.
Having sounds again on my PC made the lack of support of PB equip-
ment a little more tolerable. Thanks again to David Ramos. P.S.
There is also documentation available re this driver at ALLIED
COMPUTING.COM. They use the designator AZT2316R for this driver."
