"good one - there is a need to reinstall the windows xp original driver with the one here ...

*after installation* of the hp driver goto control panel -> system->find the windows original scanner driver and do "update driver manager" to the hp one - and all is working ok."

"Tried to use this with a UMAX AStra 1200S on a W2000 rebuild. Crashed WIn2000 and required a restore.

Don't try it om Win 2000 Pro. Can't speak for win9x."

"I was just about to throw away the unit and give up. I then came accross this driver which contains the software. For whatever reason it worked. Just don't forget to run the DOS program (vs355p.exe) 1st to unzip all of the files (that's after you unzip the downloaded file first). Then go to the sub folder - Disk1 and run the VSSETUP.EXE program. Believe it or not it worked for me. Hopefully it will continue to work."
