"This driver worked for me. ) Presario 5340. CAUSE What caused it to be removed was the install of a program that tells you that your drivers were not up to date, and this one was overwritten or deleted. REMEDY You must make sure this directory exits, and put the driver in the carbon copy folder. C \Program Files\Carbon Copy"

"1) Create a folder in Program Files on your C-drive entitled "Carbon Copy." 2) Right-click on the "download driver here" and save ccw32.vxd to the Carbon Copy folder. 3) Downloads in about 1/4 of a second, if it even takes that long. 4)Restart you PC - message should go away at Start-up *Note After DL the driver, the Carbon Copy folder you created will appear to be empty because most system files are 'Hidden'"

"I've had this dang error message for so long, and now....it's gone! oh yeah! Worked like a charm. The only problem I had was similar to that dude Anton. I couldn't see the file on my laptop, but I could on my desktop. I turned converted the file to a zip file and then opened it on my laptop. Next I created the folder in my programs/carbon copy. Next I fired the B*tch up, and viola! No more error."

Then click save. Be sure the new folder is open and you are under programs. Hope this works for all of you it did for me and now no more nasty error message at boot up ) Happy Easter!"

"There is a web page with instructions about creating the Carbon Copy folder in Windows Explorer (as described by Chad, above) and downloading the driver file, Ccw32.vxd members.nbci.com/d4wight/download.htm"

"I got this file working by recreating that path it previously existed in. Like me, at some point you probably deleted the "Carbon Copy" application. To install the ccw32 file, create a folder called "Carbon Copy" in the C \Program Files folder. Then, place the ccw32 file there. The next time you reboot, instead of seeing the missing file messeage you will see a message about the driver. It only shows for a few seconds. This worked for me."
