 "Issues:
* I know I have a Trident 4D Wave, but no idea what a DX or an NX sub-version is.
* Trident Microsystems web page is utterly useless for getting drivers or older product info. (Which is why I came here to get the driver...)
* Windows driver install wizard reads the INF file and offers two choices - one of which has escape characters in it. I didn't choose that one, but it didn't inspire confidence.
* Gave me Blue Screen of Death and IMMEDIATELY powered down my computer on install.
* After rebooting and checking the hard drives for damage, I had some new audio devices listed, but the Audio Controller item still showed the driver as not installed, and the sound card was not working.
* I tried it again, but just got another BSOD and power-off crash like before. This time, there were two damaged files which Win2K said it recovered.
* Being a glutton for abuse, I tried it again with the escape character version, and it just crashed the same way." |

"i downloaded this driver to my system i was running win98 and lost all data so i loaded win2000 and am trying to find a sound driver for my trident 4dwave this driver dwnmloaded but wont install it says this file could be corrupt and to redownload which i have done 3times DOES ANYONE HAVE A DRIVER FOR TRIDENT 4DWAVE WITH WIN2000 THAT I CAN JUST DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL EASILY??????"
