"I have a CS4236B and Win 98. After making a directory for the files, I unzipped them. Then I opened cwbwdm.inf in Notepad and searched for 4236. It told me to comment out one line and uncomment another, so I did and saved. Ran setup. Restarted the computer. When Windows was looking for the new driver I poi

"No, it didn't. still get message "crystal drivers not installed" Device manage swears they are installed but I suspect the drivers are a Microsoft product NOT the real ones I downloaded from here. Let you know if I sort it out."

"emachines 366C was getting static on Jump Start software audio - music. driver fixed the problem and installed newer control panel. Basic volume output increased as a by product also,,, Great"

"Using laptop with Win98 and CS4236B.

Setup.exe doesn't copy the inf files to WINDOWS\INF so you have to extract the ZIP and specify this directory. The device appears to be happy in System control panel, but no sound except a very quiet and distorted version if you listen hard. Not recommended"
