NOTES ON INSTALLING SCSI-DRIVERS AT FIRST INSTALL
To install a MediaVision Prosonic/Jazz16w/Future Domain SCSI CD-ROM,
first create a System Floppy Disk from a computer with Win98,
(not a Startup Floppy Disk!), then copy the driver-files
onto this disk from your harddrive-folder where
you've unzipped them earlier. It will work as a
Startup Floppy Disk and set-up SCSI CD-Rom support.
Load your Win98 system installation-CD and
run Setup.exe to install the new CD-drive.
NOTE I found this comment by eddie on driverguide.com
;quote; to all having trouble.this driver works great in all os . its the way everyone is told how to install it thats wrong.run add new hardware .detect for plug and play .bingo.then update driver normal way .remember zip files must be extracted to a folder . then specifi folder. and dont make system disk .that is so lame and not needed ;endquote;
COMMENT I suppose eddie means the soundcard-drivers,
when installing into a working Windows-system.
The SCSI-interface still needs to be installed
with the System Floppy Disk when installing Windows
from fresh in the manner that is first described,
to be able to install Windows from the SCSI CD-Rom drive."
