"I was looking for a Win98 SE Driver for Kingston DataTraveler 100 USB Flash Drive.

Kingston do NOT have win 98 Drivers on their Website.

The Drivers I did find, did not work, despite saying Win98!

In the end used "WinTricks" =GenericUSB,

"I have a Kingston DataTraveler DTI/2GB. I installed this driver with the Setup.exe on Win98SE but when I plugged the Flash Drive it wasn't recognized and asked for the driver. What I had to do was: I didn't use the Setup.exe (I use VMWare and reverted the snapshot), I just plugged the Flash Drive, Win98SE asked for the driver, I clicked "Show a list..." and then "With disk..". Went on the folder I unpacked the files U3SSTOR.inf, U3SPDR.pdr and U3SSTOR.sy_ and it showed me a list of drivers. I chose the "Kingston Technology KUSBDTI/XX" and it installed the driver. Rebooted and it recognized the Flash Drive I was able to read AND write data to it! Hope it helps, good luck!"

"I got Intel MMX computer with 256MB RAM, Intel YM430TX motherboard, Intel82371AB/EB PCI to USB Universal Host Controllers. I bought Kingston Data Traveler 2.0 DTI/512 and DTI/1GB. Installed Kingston driver software. None of the flash memories worked. Then quite illogically and blindly I used this driver to make those USB flash memories work. But it didn't. Obviously, this driver is not for the purpose I've been looking for, and not the problem of this driver. Sorry for my ignorance. "I tried the GENUSB*.* drivers. Did not work with my Kingston Data Traveler. This download is in a .RAR format and requires you to download a utility from RARLAB if you do not already have. It contains a setup.exe that walks you through the process. I'm working!!!"
