"This is not the driver this is a link to Umax were you pay for the CD only no downloads at all. This could be from the law suit they have because they say it was 36 scan andit is a 30 scan. But thats my opinion."

"I've found out that XP works very well with the 1600U. I've installed the 3.55 vistascan but this does not work. Doing a further installation under XP I've also checked the 2xxxupdater.exe from Umax. Noppes, does not work. Ultimately I've found out that umaxscan.dll is needed. It is however not available on the XP-CD. Ask a friend, it is in a cab (DRIVER5.CAB) from windows ME. Now I can use mu 1600U as under 98SE...using Vistascan. Succes! Andre"
