"Note the "AUI" port was also referred to as the "Thick-Net" port and is a 15-pin D_connector. This is NOT a game port!!! The Elite16 Combo card has jumpers to select the connector type (RJ-45 OR the AUI/BNC) as well as card settings (IRQ, addresss, and RAM address). ALL settings can be jumpered to "soft" and would then require the EZSETUP.EXE (or something similar/compatible) program to be run so that you can choose other settings. I have also sucessfully used the EZSETUP.EXE program sith a WD8003EB type card so it may be universal to all Western Digital (WDC) network cards in selecting software-set firmware settings (Addressing, IRQ, connector type). Once again, these are the ORIGINAL files that came with the card before SMC took over Western Digital Network products."
