"Hi guys I beat this f...ing ESPINOZA driver after 3 hours of hard work and many searches. Here we are: 1.Restart de system in safe mode. 2. Search and delete all files with UMAX name from WINNT directory plus these one:(UCM_16.DLL, UCM_32.DLL, UDEPP32.DLL, VS32.DLL, VSCLI32.DLL). 3. Start regedit, search and remove all UMAX values, key etc. wich you can find or you can delete 4.Install and run "REGISTRYFIX v5.5" - demo version, let the program to repair all the problem wich can find. 5. Install new version of UMAX drivers; must be this file "vs35sal.zip - 23.068 Mega" and then win2000 will start properly again.This worked on my Win2000 Profesion OS i don'y know how does it work on the other OS. "This driver will crash the system when Windows XP loads. It will bring out the blue screen of death, highlighting the driver file, UMAXDRV.SYS, as the cause, everytime. Only fix is for a system restore.
Worst of all, this driver doesn't include any uninstaller like others normally have. You have to manually restore and delete files if you want to get rid of this retarded program from your system."
"Hey CostaRican friend...thanks for the advice on the umax scanner, it came handy for me as well, even though it's an old scanner but does the tricks u need.
