"The driver hasn't done me any good whatsoever. When I turn the computer on and it boots up, after Windows XP starts I get an immediate "blue screen" crash. So, I have to turn the computer off and unplug the power cable to the CD-Writer. Windows will start up fine (so long as the CD-Writer is NOT powered ON). Once the computer is running, I can then power the external drive on, then go to the control panel and click on install hardware and XP will recognize that the hardware is connected and I get the message that it is functioning properly - - - no problem until I have to do a restart. Any thoughts would be appreciated."
