Simply put it in C \
edit the config.sys file and add this line to the end..
device=cdmke.sys /d MSCD001
then put mscdex.exe into the root directory also and edit the autoexec.bat fil and add this...
MSCDEX /d MSCD001

"Yes it worked on a Wren Technology Computor P200 system. No Windows installed just a reformated hard drive with Dos loaded from a Win 98 Start up disc. I copied download to floppy at a prompt typed the following without quotes "a \56X_DOS.EXE" it unzipped files to floppy drive, I then typed "a \INSTALL.EXE" & the drivers installed, removed the disc & reset computor, CDROM was the regonised. Brilliant!!! Hope this helps someone else."

"This driver worked fine, had a slight problem to begin with, after running "install" it said couldn't find MSCDE.EXE" CD-ROM not installed.After getting a copy of MSCDEX off another disk and entering the one liner in autoexec.bat, i ran "install" again from the driver disk and it worked."

I tried this driver for the obove model in (DOs 6.22) and I followed the step and from 4 option given I chose sound blaster 16. I've got(installation aborted) mesage In (DOS 6.22)No luck. I'm still looking for the Driver for CR-562-J"
