"I have a Glodstar CD-ROM CRD 8240B and it will not recignise some of my CD's. Some it will and some not most of the timeit does not. I get a meaasge that it is not ready or not accessible."

"This firmware upgrade for my COMPAQ branded CRD-8322B worked perfectly. It upgraded the firmware from 1.03 to 1.06 without any problems. I'm using Windows 98(SE). Before the upgrade my ripping software only worked at 0.9x speed. Now it runs at a speed between 4x and 5x. Way cool. Thankyou Mark Wilson and thankyou DriverGuide.com for sharing."

"THe driver works ok, only one problem, it still will not allow the CDR8240B to read a ISO9660 cdrw...is it NERO or the format...I am not sure"

"This driver works great, I dont know why you people cant get it togather, you have to have the CD-ROM either set for Master or slave and on your wiring harness righ for this driver to find the CD-ROM, if it does not find it then its shot or its not installed right...!"

"This is only an update. If your driver files are corrupt and you have xp pro., it will not work as I have found out. I am not sure about other OS's though."
