"I unzipped and right clicked on hpi_mspt , then choose Install. It doesn't make the camera work in XP.
I understand the 315 software allows the 215 to be recognized by XP. If somebody could send me the 315 software, I'll try it. nehmo54@hotmail.com .
I'm considering buying a HP photosmart 315, loading what's on the accompanying disk, and then returning it. I'll post the software somewhere if I do that.
Another alternative is to get a Compact Flash card reader. I heard the camera batteries last longer if you use one anyway.
If anybody does get the driver that makes the HP 215 compatable with Win XP, please post it and send it to me nehmo54@hotmail.com."
