"This driver works great for my old laptop (Win95) to connect Xircom 10/1000 Network Ethernet Card (XE2000) through cable internet. The installation was easy: I downloaded and ran xe2000_206.exe which unpacked the driver files. Next I prepared the laptop by rebooting after removing the network card, uninstalling the network drivers, deleting all network components (found in Network - Properties) and all tcp/ips. After the reboot, I put the network card into the laptop and waited for the system to recognize new hardware. Choose to use your own driver (Xircom\XE2000_206\NETCE3.INF) and finish the add new hardware wizard. After the system rebooted, I went into the Network - Properties and added the Protocol: Microsoft TCP/IP. Did another reboot and WHAM I'm online."

"It is possible to get it working on XP Home/Pro depending on witch laptop you are setting it up on... DO NOT BOTHER to set it up manually under XP this is virtually IMPOSIBLE. If you set it up automatically "Depending on laptop" it may work if you can reboot the system without it corrupting the driver, it works. -The best of luck.-."
