"Driver failed with my Dell Latitude CPI running Windows ME. It wanted to see Windows 95 O.S. This is a US Robotics XJ4336 unit. USR has a download also, it did not work with ME either. I took the modem to CompUSA, they told me it is an OLD unit, so, I spent $49.95 and got there PN 274405. It does not have an Xjack, uses a dongle, more secure fit to the phone cord. The Modem works OK. If you have the older 12J2785 and you are using ME, toss it and get the newer unit?? P.S. The laptop I bought had NO Operating system in it, I loaded ME first and then tried to make the Modem work......"
