"Worked just like it's supposed to. The text readme file (dated in 2000) says it is only for Windows 3.1 and Windows 98, but I think that readme file is outdated, as it worked just fine with XP."

"This driver did not work well. It caused the system to lock up. Since then, I acquired the proper driver from SHARP ELECTRONICS. Its name is AL11PK951. Works like a charm."

"Works great, much better than Prog with the Copier/printer. For the novice a Install instruct would help (considering the above ?). Uninstall the original printer (sharp 1000, uninstall, then reboot). then after reboot Click on the downloaded zip file and record the folder it is unzipped to. Start, printer/fax, Add printer. Follow the instructions and enter the folder address when prompted. It installs and runs great. I have a network and can use it from all stations as a shared printer."

"It was a very tedious process to find the Sharp AL 1000 series driver compatible with windows XP. I called, surfed and could not get any answers. My printer is working great now thanks to the download I found on driverguide.com. Thanks Mr. Jerry. I did install a Windows XP update for drivers before I downloaded. I have had no problems. Just FYI."

"I've downloaded the driver several times and each time I get the warning from Microsoft XP that the driver is not digitally signed and they strongly recommend that I don't install it.
