"To the several previous people who had a query about run.exe with the Packard bell CD (win98/2000/ME version)in your CD drive, right click explore (whatever drive letter yours is in My Computer)and it should be there along with autorun.exe autorun.inf and about 8 other folders. I installed everything before actually connecting the scanner, turned off comp, turned back on, then connected scanner, XP didn't automatically find new hardware device so I went into Control Panel and Add new hardware and there it was."

"Thank You to Annette White it worked fine. It did present me with a pop-up window saying installation not successful when I cancelled the installation of Photoshop (This came free with the scanner about 2 yrs ago)but it had in fact installed the twain and device driver for the scanner succesfully."

"As a raw recruit to the art of computers I am finding it impossible to link-up or download my Packard Bell Diamond1200 scanner to my windows XP. This is despite putting in the software. The machine appears not to recognise the scanner. Can anyone out there in the big wide world give me advice that could be idiot proof. This would be much appreciated."

"It will run the installation program, but the asks "Insert Photo-Shop CD" whhich i dont seem to have. By clicking cancel, aborts the installation, and although the applications appear on Start Menus, they will not function. Any Ideas ??"
