"Somewhat older than the Windows 2000 driver you can get directly from HP. Not sure which driver will work better with XP, or if it's better to use the one that comes with XP."

"Oh, yes! Finally! For over two years, I've been greatly annoyed and handicapped trying to print graphics-intensive pages, PDF files, or anything at 600dpi on my HP 5L from Win XP. I've been using the Microsoft, then the HP printer drivers. The printer would hang (out of memory, I think), I'd have to unplug it (no on-off switch!) to reset it, then get "garbage" printed out, etc. Even my Win 95 PC printed better on the 5L. This driver seems to have solved all these problems."

"This worked well for me. Executed the download and then under the properties/advanced tab I selected new driver, told it where the expanded files were, and it loaded the driver. Cured problems I had with fuzzy printing and printing only part of a page."

"I've been waiting more than a year for this driver. I used to have messed up prints when lines had to be printed. The printer sometimes hanged and it took too long time to have the printer starting to print. All these problems have been gone now on behalf of this driver. Thanks Samuel"

"This driver made my printer work properly again! I have WIN XP. My hp printer was working fine until I bought a new scanner and installed the software. Suddenly my printer wouldn't print from web pages, or even documents with more than text in them it just printed garbage. I installed this driver...hoping...and presto! My printer is back to normal. ) Thank you so much!"
