I had the same probs with my XR-W2010 under XP. I'm using it on an Adaptec AHA 2940-controller, which detects the CD-R correctly, but under Win I neither had a drive Letter nor my Nero Burning Rom detected it properly. Moreover it was listed in the DevManager with a question mark but with the right description (something like 'XR-W2010 SCSI Worm...).
Well, in the DevManager update the driver for the XR-W2010 with the standard CD-Rom driver (choose manually!!!), than apply a drive Letter of your choice if you wish to and e.g. Nero correctly detects the CD-R (I'm using Version 5.5.9.0 of Nero). Then burn, burn, burn...."
