2)Go into your BIOS, (i.e., press F2 or del key during boot up), and change the parallel port settings to "enable" and "ECP" and/or "EPP".

3)Manually import the unzipped registry file M353P. You do this by clicking start>run and type "regedit". Once in the regedit program, click file>import and browse for the M353P file.

4)Go to settings>properties>printers and faxes> and right click properties on the qms printer. Go to the "ports" tab and make sure there is a check in the "enable bidirectional support" box.

5) Make sure you re-boot and turn on/off your printer after doing 1-4.

It took about 3 days to figure this out. Good luck."

e fee queesy however, my computer did not blow up. During the Add New Hardward phase, when it asked for the NT CD, I chose Browse and it went to a screen that had the needed file, I chose OK and it continued on. This happened a couple of times. No NT CD was needed. All the files seemed to be in the downloaded folder when it was un-zipped. I feel good about being able to get the Mita DP-560 running. It is a great little printer"

I bought a large bottle of powder toner for $80 at Staples and have just refilled my drum over and over, in the 4 years I've owned this printer, I have never bought a new drum and I did transcription work for a living, lots of printing!"
