"PARA VideoHighway EXTREME bt848akpf, pal N, URUGUAY
BTinstaller.exe pesa 316kb
cuando lo inicies te aparecera un cuadro que dice:
1_ install this driver (instalar el driver)
2_uninstall any previusly drivers installed in the sistem refers bt8xx (borrar drivers basuras que no funcionaron)
luego de que pongas install this driver y pongas siguiente, aceptas la licesncia...
te aparece un cuadro con varias opciones....
lo que tienes que hacer es:
select your video card capture ===========> le pones AIMSlab VHX
select your tv tuner used in your card ===========> le pones PHILIPS PAL (caso uruguay, no c que norma usan ahi)
no apretes mas nada, es eso nomas.... le das aceptar, siguiente...
te instala los drivers.... reinicias la maquina y chequeas que no tengas ningun dialogo amarillo en el sistema (que se halla instalado correctamente).
luego bajas el software DScaler de
http://www.dscaler.org/downloads.htm ==========>bajate la ultima version haciendole clic a 'setup program'
la version incluida aca es vieja y no detecta todas las sintonizadoras
instalalo
cuando ejecutes el programa te va a preguntar nuevamente que tarjeta tenes = aimslab VideoHighway EXTREME (NOT 98)
y que tuner = PHILIPS (PAL) ==============> en uruguay se usa pal. y en especial PAL N. tener en cuenta de que pais son
luego pones channels y seleccionas CABLE y le das scan y listo, si se te ve en otros colores prueba cambiarle la norma en la misma ventana que le das scan....
SEGURO TE VA A FUNCIONAR es exelente, POR fin se puede usar esta tarjeta, hasta me animo a decir que anda mejor que el software original!!!!

"I Have the "AIMS Video Highway Xtreme".
When I Install the driver, the PC reboot. Then i install the "Dscaler 4 Public Alpha 1" Software and the PC Reebot again... Then I loose the sound of my SB Live 1024... I didn't test if the sound of the PC get out of the "Highway Xtreme" but the TV sound gets out from it. (and the "SB Live" just desapear from the software list)
And I can't get radio stations...
Can you help me???

"I am using the X-treme_Video_Highway.zip on my Win XP
after you unzip,install the btwdmdrvinstaller5.3.5
And found that when you do the install, find the Aimslab VHX
in the top list of cards, and in the bottom list, use the Philips- NTSC-M_m for card type if in the U.S.A.
"Do Not Put Checkmarks in the FM Settings" the install will auto set the FM settings if your card has FM Audio
This software works better than the one that comes with the Video Xtreme
I hope this info can help you with your install on a Win XP O/S

"I decided to play around a little bit more with the program. So I re-installed it and started over from scratch and guess what??? My Windows XP started to shup down properly and everything worked ok. I don't know why it was hanging the first time, but it's working ok now. This program is absolutely awesome, absolutely magnificent. Works great and looks a lot better than the original Video Highway Extreme program. Lots of cool features and tweaks to adjust settings. Best of all, my Windows XP shuts down properly. Excellent program. Thanks!!!"

"Program works great. I chose the NTSC setting, it works best for my location here in the Southeast. Features and options are excellent. One major problem though, it causes my Windows XP not to shut down, it just hangs on the shut down screen. It will not shut down and turn off automatically. I had to do a system restore to before I installed the program, then it starts shutting down ok again. Otherwise from the shutdown problem, the program works great."

"I downloaded the zip file of the XP drivers and the TV card has now been resurrected. I also like the features the Dscaler software offers--I think I'll try it on my ATI TV Wonder cards.
I unzipped the file into the two zipped files and unzipped both of these. I then ran the driver install exe which installed the drivers automatically. After I did this I ran the Dscaler program and since the program did not detect my VHX card (as the driver had not either) I selected Video Highway (not 98) and after looking underneath the tuner's label, I selected the Philips tuner--yours may be different.
