"I also got the Multimedia Extensions error on a windows 95 machine, not on a windows 2000 machine. Either way its not what you need to setup the soundcard in dos, which means you can't use any Prop. CDROMS that are attached to it. The proper driver is called "PROS.SYS" and is NOT the same "PROS.SYS" driver that comes with the Media Vision ProSonic16 (so don't even bother trying it.) What IS needed is the "PROS.SYS" dos device driver specifically written for the Deluxe MCD, only that will allow you to use a CDROM attached to card. For Windows 9x, the Jazz16 drivers might get the audio working as its the same chipsets."
"Downloaded and unpacked fine...
However.. will not install ...
Says I need Windows Multimedia Extensions.
I don't need everything that came with
ap12.exe ... just one little driver file ...
I think the original was pros.sys...
Thanks.."
