"The .inf files contains the drivers. Just click on an .inf file, and click "OK". And a new window should come up, or on some systems, the computer will look at it automatically, and find the best driver."

"Was exactly what I needed. I had to do a little work. Used the mdmcpq.inf file. Had to manually add the Modem through ADD NEW HARDWARE wizard. It kept asking me for the windows 95 Disk 1 though. I just skipped through those files. It used Compaq Presario 33.6 DF in COM2"

"Didn't seem to have the modem drivers, but I'm not sure. This machine was behaving strangely anyway. I got the modem to work by adding a "Compaq Pesario 33.6 DFi" on Com2. Then the computer mysteriously adding a "Compaq Pesario 33.6 DF" (no "i") on Com4. If I remove the DFi the other goes away. No other modem drivers have made a difference. But it works."
