"Hi folks. I have Windows XP home. I can't get it to work though. The driver installs correctly, although it warns me it's not a signed XP driver.

When I connect the scanner to the computer, the computer recognises it as new hardware and installs the driver then says its okay to use. But whenever I try to import the scanner from Photoshop or Paint Shop the program keeps saying no scanner is connected. Any ideas??"

"It worked with XP home edition and paintshop pro, but I could only get it to read 1 negative at a time even though I selected all 6. Slow but sure"

"It scans multiple negatives for me. Make sure the proper boxes are checked in the "Image Select" screen. It probably defaults to the last scan otherwise."

"Runs great in xp! when xp install the 2000 driver it changes the file atributes for the documan.ini file in the windows directory. the program cannot write resolution or slide numbers to properly scan. to fix just open explorer go to windows directory click on documan.ini file uncheck read only attributes then everything on scanner will work in xp"

"When I bought this scanner I had win 98 then it started giving terrible results so put it away. Got it out today for kicks - downloaded the driver here for XP - but this driver doesn't seem to invert the orange mask negative at all. Did manage to do it very tediously in photoshop. Another problem was that I could only ever make it read the first frame of a strip. I'll keep working at it but so far the results with XP don't seem very hopeful."

"Do not have USB version of scanner. Now running 2000 - device worked under 95. When I attempt to use this software, Filmscan hangs leaving a window on top of the desktop. Program does not appear in TaskManager. Must reboot to remove open window. Any parallel port driver available?"

"I was buing my film scaner in the days of Win95, Win98. I used my paralel port for comunicaing with the scaner, all my atemts yo use USB port was imposible. I was abandoning this scaner for abouth 3 years, wayting for Tamarack to work out one driver capabile to reconize 2400 FS as periferial. Now my computer have Win 2000, DocuMan instaled is Version 2.07 T130c. I will see if I can install this scaner in this enviroment, if not, looks I am out of luck, last week as unsver to one Email sendet to Tamarack Technologies, Bob was telling me that Tamarack went out of business.
