I tried the other drivers here at Driverguide.com and found that they are flawed just like the ones I tried from 3Com's website.

I had downloaded these driver files a while back and they do not give me any problems. All the necessary install files are here including UN3C556.exe among others. Files in this zip are called fem56bx1.exe and fem56bx2.exe. I have only tried these in Win98SE but I would imagine they would work with Win95 SR1 and higher.

These drivers work only with NON-GLOBAL adaptors (LAN + 56K). I have not figured out how to get GLOBAL adaptors working yet.

Hope this helps!

"READ THIS!! William's driver set works perfectly for installing the 3COM 3CCFEM556B PCMCIA card into a WIN98SE OS. But YOU must complete the naming of the file extensions after you unzip this download into a folder. Simply browse through every subfolder and look at the file extension names. You will notice that some of the file ex

"This driver is a headache, because is design to work only with Floppy disks

After read all your posts and analyze the installation process several times, I could find the following.

If you put the files created by the extractor in a folder named “3Com” on the C:\ root directory, each file in one different folder named “DI

"IT'S TRUE WHAT "Kinsey Ditmore" SAYS, IF YOU OPEN THE FILES .EXE THAT 3COM GIVE IN YOUR WEB SITE WITH WINRAR OR WINZIP YOU WILL SEE THE PATH WIN32 AND ALL THE FILES THAT ARE MISSING!

THATS IT....IT'S ONLY EXTRACT FROM THE WINRAR OR WINZIP!

"I've followed Jack Hatfield's instructions for a Windows 98SE install, but UN3C556.EXE, hwaccess.dll, pcomdrv.vxd, wc556cfg.dll, wcomndi.dll, wcthnk16.dll, wcthnk32.dll, wvaraddre.txt, wnicdiag.exe, wnicdiag.hlp are requested and are all missing from the driver files. If you skip these files, the LAN card doesn't work. The inetmib
