"It does what it says. This fixes the interminable hang of the original driver (supplied with the card) when booting up and the system checks the drives appended to the CMD pci to IDE card during OS loading. The pause time is now no more than 15 seconds (typically 10s) using Win98SE and a 550MHz AMD cpu. Regards, Robert."
