"The install with Win XP Pro SP1 was tedious, as it searched for and installed some default SM56 drivers for my modem FCCID=H52PT-3027. i.e. the wrong drivers. The modem appeared in the device manager with a yellow "!". After uninstalling and forcing a non-search install from the temp directory where I extracted W2K_DF_PCI_84.40_1OF1.exe it is all OK. It queries fine, the device manager reports no conflicts, but I have no ISP access just now to give it the final test: My sister's house is 120 km away, and we will be hooking up to her ISP tomorrow.

Hopefully I can report via her phone line for an update then ;-)"
