"I was glad to find this driver for a UMAX scanner I found in a second-hand store for $4.00.

I am basically neutral about it. I installed it on my system but did not use it extensively as my objective was to bring the scanner up in place of my own to assess it for my daughter and sil's use.

Driver seems to work adequately with the UMAX device. I encountered some conflict issues between it and my regular Visioneer scanner and so didn't test it out as thoroughly as I would have liked.

The drivers worked just GREAT! Just be sure to install

vs335u first and then 2xxxupdater. When finished with the

install reboot and away you go. No muss no fuss. Thanks

"Driver worked great for me. Follow the installation advice of BaconHedd (posted: 16 Jul 2003) and you should have no problems with the installation, or at least I didn't. Worked like a charm.

"WTG Sibby. This in conjunction with the XP scanner wizard worked like a charm. I hadn't used this scanner since I purchased a Lexmark...at least they updated my printer drivers for me. I will NEVER buy another Umax product again because of their horrible support."

THE CORE DRIVERS FILE IS NAMED "vs355u.exe",THANKFULLY SUBMITTED BY "camr" (ALSO LOCATED ON THIS DRIVER SITE)! HERE IS AN INSTALL NOTE FOR YOU ALL VISTASCAN v3.55 USB FOR WIN XP ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ [INSTALL ] 1. LET WIN XP INSTALL IT'S OWN DRIVERS FOR THE ASTRA 1220U SCANNER. 2.
