"I had 8 motherboards with the C-Media onboard sound chip on them and this driver worked for all 8 in Windows 98. I didn't try any other OS. This driver works great and contains all the drivers for the other sound devices and is very easy to install. When Windows comes up and says that it has found this device, just point to this driver folder and it installs all the drivers and other found sound device drivers. If by chance you want to disable this onboard sound chip, I found a jumper on my board to short..the diable was not in the bios setup as is with some other boards....Thanks Jerry....you made my day"
