"I'm trying to get an old 486 back to work again.. And it has the Matsuchita CDrom connected to the sound card... But in spite of all driver downloads I tried!! CDrom is still not recognised by Windows 95..
I don't know what I'm doing wrong !! maybe you or someone can help me out? Thanks a lot...
Roger"

In addition to the addresses, there should also be a colon between

"I just thought everyone should know The CR-563-B CD-Rom was made during the second generation of CD-Rom drives (it's a 2X speed) - before the ATAPI communication standard had been implemented. This drive needs to plug into a special sound card (they go hand in hand) to work (at least mine does). That's right, it does NOT plug into the motherboard, even though the connectors are the exact same (bastards). Part of the brains of the device are built onto the sound card, and so if you don't have it, you won't be able to use the drive.
In summary, you'll have two cables going to the sound card - an audio cable carrying audio (the same one as is the standard today), and a cable that looks exactly like a standard IDE cable, but isn't.
Enjoy!"

"This driver works well for the CR-563B, however it IS necessary to start from the DOS prompt and to use the install file. Type 56_dos.exe at the prompt. Make sure you have mscdex.exe on the c drive when you install the driver. It does not seem to co-operate when used in the autoexec and config of a bootable diskette, ie to load DOS drivers before configuring a WIN 9x system."
